Haynes book for 2004 diesel 406...?

Post by bushtor »

Hi,

When browsing ebay.co.uk I only find Haynes repair / service books for 406 up to 2002. I have a 2.0 HDi diesel 2004 model. Does it exist a Haynes book for these newer models too...?

regards Tor

I think the newer ones are exactly the same anyway although I'm not sure if it covers the FAP filter.
Edit: I think the only difference is that the newer 406's have the COM2000 stalk setup so I wouldn't worry!

my car is a 2002 but i have been in 03-04 cars they are no different except for the fact they have the chrome door handles, white dials and a silver dash but now my car has all that there really is no difference, once the com2000 and the other weird electrics arrived in 2002 it all stayed the same, so the haynes manual should do you fine, the only problems with it is firstly the pictures are too small and have no colour, but more of a problem the pictures sometimes show work being done on a d8 instead of a d9

There's VERY little mechanically different between a D8 and D9
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

true, but this is on things such as the interior which is different but overall the problem isnt important it still covers the 406 well
