PSA diesel hybrid

Post by FarmerPug »

Is there any release date of a diesel hybrid from either peugeot or citroen, im really very interested in trying one when it comes out, i had a test drive in the auris hybrid recently and it really is quite good, like a prius for normal people.

Doesn't the 508 when it comes out have a derivative with a 163bhp 2.0 HDi and a 37bhp electric motor?

Yep the 508 will have it in the flagship model, 200bhp and 4-wheel drive :D I also remember hearing that this powertrain will be introduced in the 3008 Crossover, in which case expect to see it in early 2011 8)

I'm actually looking forward to these diesel electric hybrids aswell....thats a sentence I never thought I'd say

I agree with you there diesel electric just sounds like a great idea, mpg figures will go way up, i like the look of the new c4 coming out i wouldnt say no to one if i was offered one for free. But even an Auris Hybird isnt a bad idea, its still a nice driving car with good grip and wheighty steering although compared to my diesel the torque isnt there but its still just a 1.8 petrol so not much can be expected
