Shame I didn't have my camera on me today. Had an interesting start today. After 3 days of being completely covered under the snow, I decided to go to Halfords to get some headlight bulbs as one of mine has blown. After undigging the car, I turned the ignition on to find the outside temperature to be -2C, which is nothing. However, it was barely turning over, let alone firing. On the 2nd attempt, it was coughing but never really starting. On the 3rd attempt, after turning over and coughing for around 20 seconds, it finally burst into life, albeit a bit rough for the first 10 seconds or so. After that it was fine and started on first turn in Halfords car park.

What horrible road conditions though.... :|

Your getting right and thick snow over there. But the fact its covering cars isnt all that bad, by the looks of it its hiding a hyundai matrix, a car which bares the pininfarina badge but dont expect the good looks of the 406 coupe.

Weird, went out tonight -8C and it fired straight away. I guess standing in the cold wasn't doing it much good....

Your car seems to be the best looking one parked in that photo.

isnt it the worst control system ever, at night it turns black so looks less crap but the graphics are a bit nokia 3510i with a big sticker saying COLOUR on it. and this nissan being the s version doesnt have the bigger higher resolution screen with the sat nav and reversing camera or the radar cruise control. Just a screen with very big edges, and a button saying map that when pressed does nothing, still is better than a blank button though.
As for my right knee, thats the LPG control button, the blinking lights showing its trying to switch over to lpg and despite me telling it to switch over by pushing it, it was too cold so the primera is running on petrol and despite that it was still completley gutless, though it does suit my driving style of working the engine revs up to 7500 revs and doesnt sound too bad. Though i was glad to get back into my solid feeling 406 with its meaty steering, slick gearchange, and torque.

The pugs only went to 5000 once while stationary before the mot to clear out the zhaust pipe. on normal driving its seldomly above 2500, i know its pointless in a diesel as max torque is developed earlier. But theres something irrisiable about a free revving petrol engine, like my fiat it got revved like mad everywhere, is this the case with turbocharged petrols of which i have never been inside, are they as torquey as turbo diesels?
As for the nissans distractor unit, ie the screen it would be good if it offered a few games to compensate for the sh*t graphics, some stuff like space invaders, pong, and pacman, all would work fine through the nissans joystick. And this is an MFD that really does get on my nerves it tells you always to put the seatbelt on, if its not on it stays on the screen and the car bleeps, and when its cold the 'low external temperature' invades the whole screen, its only saving grace is its japanese and doesnt have too many error messages to piss me off with. But the climate control is a disaster, you have to go into the climate control menu, and adjust the speed with the same buttons that the radio are controlled with, ergonomics was not something this car mastered. And putting the instruments in the middle isnt a good idea, it works in the c4 because the speed is huge and digital but in the primera you cant see the speed because the dials are too small and the whole thing reflects in the sunlight, and the cover for it all actually has an unexplaned and spontaneous crack in the middle. And i cant understand where nissan went wrong the primera before this one was a great car, my dad drove a diesel one it may have been a bit thirsty but the quality of the cabin and ergonomics and comfort was great, this ones a flimsy piece of overcomplicated ugly sh*t.
