Misses sent a payment to next on the 6th december

e-mailed us to say she'd missed a payment
told them sent on 6th
insisted on a payment, so did one with credit card on the 30th
checking account couple of days later, it said payment on the 30th ( the credit card)
and payment on the 31st ( the cheque sent on the 6th)

OK, who's the courier driver? I can't remember and don't wish to offend anyone....

I ordered a telly for the outlaws on Boxing Day from Amazon, good as gold they dispatched it on Dec 28th, sent us a mail with the tracking number saying it was dispatched with city-link, due for delivery on the 30th. Got up on the 30th, checked city-link's tracking page, said due for delivery 30th Dec but the latest tracking info was a departure scan from Scunthorpe on the 28th at 10:34, hmmm, that's not right :? . In-laws waited in all day. Come mid afternoon and cometh no telly I tried to ring them many times only to get a recorded message saying something along the lines of "We're experiencing very high call rates so can't take your call" then you get cut off, brilliant! Tried emailing but got no response at all (still no response) :x .

So all over the New Year I was checking the tracking page to see if there was any movement, strangely, even though the tracking data didn't change, the due for delivery date changed from Thursday 30th Dec to Thursday 5th Jan (by the way Wednesday's the 5th, Thursday will be the 6th, they don't even know what fekking day it is!!! ). So on Monday 3rd I emailed a complaint to Amazon stating that I appreciate that there are backlogs and delays due to the snow and that we don't mind waiting for the telly as long as we know what's going on, but the lack of information coming from city link and their refusal to be contacted or respond to enquiries was inexcusable. We had a very apologetic reply from Amazon blaming the weather and promising to look into it. Tuesday 4th about 9AM I checked the tracking page again, still no update, last activity was departure scan 28th Dec. Checked again about 12 and it had been updated twice, scanned into Cardiff depot at half 10 and out for delivery, hoorah! Phoned the in-laws and it had just arrived, lucky they were in eh?? Perhaps the complaint to Amazon triggered an arse kicking?

I've always said that you can't measure a company on how well they provide a service that is their core business, that's what they're there to do, if a courier delivers stuff undamaged and on-time it just proves that they're competent, not exceptional. It's how well they react when it all goes tits up that matters. How quickly and efficiently they fix the problem (work the bank holidays to get over the backlog, everyone else has to!!), how well they keep customers informed (apparently by turning the phones off and ignoring emails). What these clowns need to realise is that it's just another consignment from another massive customer to them, but to the end customer it was £700 of our hard earned cash! On their reaction to the snow crisis, city-link are, in my opinion, a crap company.

i have nothing bad to say about royal mail they always delever everything, sometimes they leave a slip to say its in the main office but now i know the postman and he leaves stuff in the garage. My only negative comment is the woman in the post office has a terribly unhelpful and depressing attitude, and i think should be sent on training on how to deal with people in a job like that.

shes not even that old, i reckon about 30, there is an older lady and she is a lovely person. Ends up turning sending a parcel away into a full blown conversation.
