Service Box vehicle characteristics

Post by rwb »

I put my VIN in and put the output on the wiki.

Just a few queries:
  • COMPACT DISC: WITHOUT COMPACT DISC (this must mean multi-changer)
  • HANDBRAKE WARNING LAMP: WITHOUT PARKING BREAK INDICATOR (but I do have the usual (!) dash light, and COM2000 squarks with warning message if I drive off with the handbrake on.)
  • COURTESY MIRROR: DRIV OCCULT+PASS OCCULT W/O LIGHT (occult mirror? Does this mean that they work for vampires too? Given the etymology I'm guessing it means that they have covers.)
  • COURTESY LAMP: FR+RE DOORS CONT - FR+RE INTERIOR LAMP (eh?)
  • RADIO CONTROLS: REMOTE RADIO CONTROL WITHOUT CD FUNCTION (strange because when I got the car there was radio stalk and when I put one in there was a blanking plate in the slot.)

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.

Don't forget most of that's translated by machine from French so a lot of the meaning is lost. Remember this? viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13109&p=117590&hili ... ht#p117590

Probably referring to the mirrors in the sunblinds. Do yours light up when you open them?

The lights on the door cards
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

there is a huge difference between a direct and human translation.

Create an account, stick in your VIN, click the button, and out it all churns.

I checked this morning, and both sun flaps have mirrors with covers in them, but no lights.

I don't have any lights in the doors :(
