2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: Fuel Consumption!!
id be gobsmacked if its come out of a 300d, but unsuprised if its come from a late 90s early noughties car.
Re: Fuel Consumption!!
Sorry, I should have said.
It's from my VW car transporter, the one I was talking about on page 1 & 2. It has a Merc 230 engine and a Tickford Gas conversion. But running on lpg, it keeps burning the valves out! We've had the head off twice now in the last 6 months. It's almost back together again now, but I wont be running it on lpg anymore. Just unleaded from now on. I dont care how thirsty it is, I'm not taking the head off again.

Re: Fuel Consumption!!
its unusual to see a petrol van these days most are now dervs, with an lpg you need to change the oil more frequently.
Re: Fuel Consumption!!
It's a 2000 X reg in the year, About that time a lot of manufacterer's were making a big thing about lpg and I believe this one was fitted new. One of the problems is getting someone to service the system. None of the local gareges want to touch it as there not familier with a system this old.
Where I worked back in those days as a live working cable jointer for Bethell E.D.S Utilities, some of our vans issued that year were lpg converts. I was one of the lucky one's and got a diesel model. The lads that run the lpg's didnt like 'em.
I've had lpg's before, Had a 1994 Dodge Ram with lpg on a 318 cu. in (5.2 litre) V8 and that was absolutley brilliant! Some engine love it, some don't.

Re: Fuel Consumption!!
ah yes the ram, my uncles and my dad have their lpg fitted at some place in craigavon
http://www.automotivegas.com/
there was my dads miniscule primera sitting there, and then this beast of a ram sitting behind it in the workshop. I dont even think a ram does good economy on lpg just about what a rangie would do. But they are so much bigger than everything else on the road.
