I love this thread :D

1994: 1988 Ford Fiesta 1.6D L, Great first car, reliable and strong. Had some good races back from college against a mates 1.4S Fezzer with it. Kept up too :) But endless sanding and painting of rust pissed me off so got a loan for....

1996: 1993 Vauxhall Nova 1.5TD SX, My pride and joy. Brilliant little car. Rolled arches for 15in Irmscher alloys and Yokohama rubber. Turbosystems hybrid turbo and fettled fuel pump made it faster than a GSI  Rolled it down a bank into a field avoiding a tool overtaking a Christian Salvesen wagon. Gutted.

1998: 1995 Rover 114 GTa, Needed something quickly after the above. It was crap.

1998: 1993 Peugeot 106 Roland Garros, Rushed into buying this as i hated the Rover. Bought it from the dodgy garage in Leeds. It looked ok but found out later it was on VCAR

1999: 1998 Fiat Punto 1.7TD SX, Scary handling, No go at all and it was even rubbish on fuel. I liked the space inside tho.

2001: 1998 Citroen Saxo VTS. In rare met Grey so didn't stand out like a nob. 700 miles a week to work killed it. Headgasket, crank case, fuel pump, more trailing arms than i care to remember. Lots of free lifts back from work on a Green Flag truck :cheesy:

2003: 2001 Seat Ibiza 20v Turbo. Worked my arse of for this car. Loved it. Quick and rare. Got sick of renting a house so sold it for a house deposit

2006: 1999 Peugeot 406 V6 Executive. Bought off ebay for 1500 quid with change left from Ibiza sale. Wasn't going to keep long but fell in love with the big comfy cruiser. Wanted for nothing over the 2.5 years i had it.

2008: 2003 Renault Megane 1.9dCi Dynamique, Good car with great spec. Quick and frugal too. Only ruined by the creeks and rattles in the cabin.

2010: 2006 Peugeot 207 GT 150 THP, So far so good. Great handling inspires confidence for rapid cornering. Engine sounds brilliant.

Waue1978 - My dad had one of those mk2 1985 Ford Granada 2.8i Ghia X manuals, with the X pack (front and rear spoilers, spotlights, foglights). Really looked the part, I loved it but was far too young to drive it.
I was 18 when I got mine. Cost me £1000 to insure it though!

Errrr, sort of - when the GPO (as it was then) wanted to make the TE bigger they bought the first house in Northfield Road (no. 2) but part of the planning permission was that they had to make a dwelling there, so they built a flat over the back entrance and rented it out cheap to employees. 23'x13' living room, two fairly big bedrooms... Hold on, where's street view? http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 3,,0,-4.27 It was a bit chilly in winter, so I used to block the bedroom windows there windows up with some 4" polystyrene. Across the road were a huge B&Q, a very good Indian takeaway and a massive Greek deli. Those were the days
Nice tidy looking BX's there (prefer the one on the right :supafrisk: )
That'll be the mark 2, it came with a bit more adventurous body kit. I didn't think it was as well made though, and the wiring loom had a label on it that said "Made in Yugoslavia" which I thought was a bad sign
