Heater controls out, how do I get to bulbs?

Post by Coxy »

On my D8 saloon; I need to replace a few bulbs and finally have the controls out, but how do I get in the unit to change the bulbs?

Assuming it's the same as mine lift the cover on the back and they're black twist out plastic holders.

my sausage fingers are a bit big so I used some small needle nose pliers to get them out, I would use finger power to put the new ones back in tho so you don't over tighten anything.

the bulbs are pretty cheap with the holders but you can wiggle the actual bulb out and just replace them, IIRC 28p a bulb from my local factors. 5 or 6 bulbs in the heater control panel and 2 in the MFD.

BTW I never did work out where the bulb for the fan speed button backlight was so if you find it let me know :cheesy:
