And 496E whatever that is unless it was something to with his diagnostic .
And also while he was doing the brakes i noticed red dust on the bottom pulley and sure enough
there was play in it . I had the pulley replaced when i bought the car with a pug genuine one only to
be told the one that came off had only been on a short while so i kept it aren't i a lucky boy as it
is now back on the car. The new pulley had lasted just about 5 yrs !!!
Did you get them cleared, puggy? If so, see if they come back.
(Wasn't a PP2000 by the sound of things - they give you a proper fault description & often some suggestions for sorting it).
Nice one with the pulley - guess that gives you about 4 years to find another cheap pulley for next time.
