Only problem, and I'm not sure if County England has this issue, but in NI, every boy racer in Magherafelt has bought a 306 DTurbo like the sheep that they are. They then promptly ruin them by turning the fuel screw too much such that it reeks black smoke under light acceleration, blow the headgasket, put clamps on the spring so that the Peugeot engineered balanced ride/handling balance is ruined, and fit various bits of plastic tat and ridiculous stickers.

In terms of tunability, I've heard of remaps for the XUDT, and the aforementioned fuel screw.

But I prefer my XUDs simple, agricultural, and reliable 8)
My 406 was running 22psi of boost, on veg oil with the fueling upped and the pump advanced.
Got a better score in the smoke test on this MOT than the first one Istuck it into!
Was lovely and gutsy too!

XUD's have a head gasket history, but the problem is when people change the head gaskets they change them for fiber ones. If you get a steel gasket you won't have an issue.

Think I might get a nice 3 door ph2 306, stick a ph3 kit, on it, bosch it and enjoy it for a year or two :)

22psi, what did it do standard?
the xud does seem to have a bit of a headgasket issue, the ones i had for raking round fields tended to blow quite quickly, with the exception of the 309 and 205.

They like regular coolant changes. Never had an issue on my XUDs. But then, didn't screw/rake them either!

how do you do adjust that? i suppose its a remap on a hdi.

none of mine were tuned, i just learnt on the 309 to wire the fans into the ignition as opposed to a potentially broken electric jobbo, the 205 nothing was done to it, and it got the most abuse.
The d turbo has a sort of cult status here in NI.

The spides are wild for blowing turbos.

That first one, I was baffled. What's a taxedoct? Until I re-read it. Taxed til October :D

Things are bad when you're listing wind deflectors are one of the key features.

"CAR HAS 0NLY THREE ALLOYS ONE IS DIFFERENT"

And that blue one. £750 is a bit optimistic! I would offer £50. £100 at most!

You have to turn the turbo and the fuel pump up, then lower the idle and just keep fliddling and fiddling until it runs tidy
Mine was pretty well tuned and never smoked any more than standard!

Cars back, just been for a blast up and down the motorway and shes lovely, no more shuddering, no more wandering, no more vibrations :D
