Was hoping to service the Honda and Hyundai between the rain, but nowhere seems to sell sump plug washers!
Should I go ahead and hope for the best?

I wouldnt advise risking it, you might get away with it (i just put a bit of plumbers tape on the bung of the suzuki) but its best to replace it.

You won't have a problem with the Hyundai or the Honda, they use aluminium sump washers.
You could always do what I suggested before, wipe some instant gasket or silicon sealer over the sump washer before you screw it back in.

why do you need to swap a 406 washer, does it deform where an aluminium one doesnt?

I might get some silicon to seal the house windows and keep a bit for this purpose.
Put off servicing them as it wouldn't stop raining, and now we have a hurricane that has hit Farmerpugs fridge.

Jasper - would PTFE tape around the sump plug + the old washer do the job?
Farmerpug - be thankful you aren't taking the ferry today to pick up any GB 406s! Down by the docks here and even there are waves a few feet high!
