Nissan Navaras with the D22 engines would bend their conrods. The old man knows from first hand experience

Nissan and Renault are "in alliance" so I'm not sure if it is a related engine.

the alliance has made renaults more reliable, but nissan isnt what it used to be, they replaced a great handling primera with a ugly monstrosity based on the laguna, and took away all the revvy hi tech petrol engines and replaced it with a 1.8
About the runaway diesel thing that was quite common for a while in old isuzu troopers.

And because they ruined the Primera they stopped selling it entirely, replacing it with the horrible QashQow SUV thing

Ford did the same thing, ruined the Granada with the Scorpio then thought "it isn't our product, it's the market, so lets not replace it!" and brought out some egg shaped MPVs instead.

the quiche (as my grampa called it) isnt too bad its just a bit pointless having a machine that looks like an off roader without the equipment to off road. I could make my suzuki like a quasquaiquack by removing the transfer case, and putting road tyres on it.
But all the decent cars are gone there is no primera GT, or no almera a dull car it was but it got a lot of people from A to B without any fuss.
