Worx seems to have become expensive, when i bought mine it was An argos great deal thing, now they have all went up in price.

cordless drills definatley beats socks, even the crappest challenge drill can be used as a fast pencil sharpener. Its a great trick i did with my younger cousins i got a pencil and put it in the drill chuck, held a sharpner in my hand and let the drill rip, 10 seconds later a very small pencil, a lot of shavings and 3 children who were hysterical with laughter.

My aunts getting a kitchen fitted and one of my uncles whos a carpenter come down today to build it,i asked what sort of drill he used and there was an ancient panasonic that was working perfectly but he got a new one last year, suprisingly its the same makita twinpack ive ordered:

its made in japan which is good, the other uncles faulty makita was not made in japan which may be the problem. I used the wee impact driver and its amazing what it can do, theres a lot of noise but it drives the screws in rightly.

Got a parcel today, and opened it, it was the makita box, opened it up but inside there was just 1 drill the drill, no impact driver. Ive contacted the seller, they said send it back 1st class and give them a reciept they will reimburse the cost of postage (very decent of them), so ill need to wait for that to come back.

I got the right makita's they are great drills, especially the impact driver it has a lot of power for all the size of it.
But my uncle left back the crappy bosch and got a miliwakee 18v 3.0 ah drill, it says made in germany and it actually does feel like it, really well made, and all the controls work with great percision.

Whats best about it was he managed to get it for £150 out of the same hardware shop.

my uncle has a RYOBI 18v cordless and uses it for mixing self leveling floor screed . which is very tuff to mix.

it does it with no problems altho the batterys are getting tired nowwith many many months of use..

excellent cordless. 8)
