That has to be the 1.9 engine? have you heard that the newer 2.0 (common rail?) aint so hot and had suffered problems with the oil pumps - owners would first hear the clattering and then the oil light would come on most get a new pump and sent on their way but who'd know this when buying second hand?

It's the basic of basic 1.9 TDi 100 bhp AVB engine.
There's a sticky injector occasionally (cos I can't be arsed to change it) but she's still running well
Oh and she p*ssed the MOT two weeks ago - a couple of advisories, including both numberplates deteriorating, a cv gaiter starting to go, oh and OIL LEAK in BLOCK CAPITALS pmsl.. That *might* be due to the hole in the sump
