Car Tax

Post by leestudd30 »

If a car was taxed using a disabled tax disc, would it show online if you did a vehicle enquiry through the DVLA site? Think the dealer I bought I bought the car from is trying to do one on me.

the tax disk if driven by a disabled person has £0.00 on the price disabled drivers have to renew their tax every year but dont actually pay

Cheers, but would it show if you do a vehicle enquiry through the dvla website? I think the dealer is trying to reclaim the tax and fobbing me off about the disc being a disabled one.

I think it should show in the V5 if you can ask to see it, I once own a ZX that was once a motability car (fully serviced on the button! Great wee car!), and I recall the V5 stated somewhere that it was once in the disability tax class.

If you run a vehicle enquiry, would it show up '£0' ?

I'm still waiting for the V5 to arrive in my name! But as he's being a bit of a d**k I decided to send in the form to get a replacement disc and to apply for the V5 myself. I'm convinced he's using the disc on another car or going to try to claim it back himself. On the DVLA site when you do a vehicle enquiry it says when the tax is due and and how much it would be, doesn't mention taxation class though.

And I've found the tax renewal form for last time from the previous owner and nothing mentioned on there about disability too.

No idea! But I did receive a temp disc from the DVLA yesterday which runs to the end of the year, they have to send the forms off to Swansea so hopefully in a few days I will have a proper disc and V5 at last!
