I know Beemer drivers are idiots all to well. Take my bosses wife she had a 04 330ci and she decided last April it was time for a new car so of she trots to the BMW dealer and in there is a 116d convertible so she buys it. End of story

its not so bad looking, seems to be closer to the old 90s bmws than the last 3 series was.

5 series or nothing. Nothing worse than a 4cyl base spec 3 series - whilst they do handle well, desperately underpowered for such an awesome chassis they have!

That said, a nice E34 would suit well!

thats probably true for a 116d but the 320d has something in the region of 180bhp

They look very good on paper.
That's why companies buy them and how the public sector justify buying them.

Seemed a shame to see Liam Fox being driven away in one.

Saw an XF today, looked stunning, even in white!

Parked near rows of slab-sided boring 1s,3s and 5s, with only my Accord coupe breaking the monotony! :D

That's because he's foreign... Mind you I suspect where you come from it's more like "tree siriz" :P Sedan? I wonder which market they're aiming at

So yes, BMW free siriz. Umm, no, I don't think my choice is ever going to be a Bimmer, sorry Hanz Und Feet or whatever you name was.

This is the new bimmer 3-series arsehole mobile, you will soon get know it's distinctive silhouette in various situations - flashing you up in your rear view mirror, pulling out on you, cutting you up and, inevitably, wrapped round a tree.
