what too look for when buying a 406

hi
i am wanting to know what are the common problems and rust spots too look for, i run 306s my self so i am well acquainted with pug engines

The bottoms of the passenger doors of mine were rusty because the previous owner didn't replace the faulty seal.

Also they get a bit rusty from stonechips on the leading edge of the bonnet. Have seen a fair few either bubbling badly or badly resprayed here.

Other than that, if you are familiar with 306s there should be no surprises.

Take a look at the indicators of a 2000-2003ish 406, if the indicator is floppy could be a COM2000 unit, can be £150 -> £300+ for the part alone.
