I'm getting a blackberry next week and knew about these things so started looking up about getting one......

Firstly I can't find if they work with a blackberry, and secondly the OBD thing doesn't seem to support Volvo software (VIDAS??).

So I'm knackered really but really wanted one to get the engine coolant temp up etc.

Most tablets can output audio to a standard 3.5mm jack, they'll have MP3 players installed, and some allow SD card storage.

I tried one of those boxes and can confirm that it doesn't work on 406s  At least, not mine anyway.

I believe the big screens in 407s run on Windows CE -- like Windows Mobile.
I wonder if they're going to switch them to Android. I'm sure development would be easier and faster, and it might save on license fees.
What it really needs, though, is a "debug" interface (i.e., PP2000) so that you can "debug" the whole electronic system while the car is running.

Current: 407 2.2 HDi 170 & C6 2.7 HDi.
Former: 406 1.9 TD; 406 HDi 90; 407 2.2 160; 307cc 180; 508 HDi 140.
