0.13% fail on Condition (2 times worse that other 1999 cars)
0.078% fail on Attachment (4 times worse that other 1999 cars)

0.28% fail on Front suspension locking devices (6 times worse that other 1999 cars)
0.023% fail on Torque / reaction arms

0.016% fail on Attachment (7 times worse that other 1999 cars)

0.86% fail on Fuel system

0.36% fail on Pipe (2 times worse that other 1999 cars)

4.7% fail on Steering (12% better than other 1999 cars)

3.7% fail on Steering system (20% better than other 1999 cars)
2.8% fail on Steering rack (2 times worse that other 1999 cars)
0.99% fail on Power steering (82% worse than other 1999 cars)
0.13% fail on Locking devices (150% worse than other 1999 cars)

2.1% fail on Registration plates and VIN (19% worse than other 1999 cars)

I'd better check my locking devices and attachment.

Very interesting. Well spotted!

Looks like the 406 is pretty average, but that at the end of it's life around 2004-04 the industry had moved on and the 406 was generally out-classed.

No surprise that electricals are top of the list -- that's certainly been my experience.

Interestingly, the 407 seems not to have caught up with the industry average and suspension is top of the list for them.

I think that a more interesting number would be the cost to get through MOT.
