Looks like the 406 is pretty average, but that at the end of it's life around 2004-04 the industry had moved on and the 406 was generally out-classed.
No surprise that electricals are top of the list -- that's certainly been my experience.
Interestingly, the 407 seems not to have caught up with the industry average and suspension is top of the list for them.
I think that a more interesting number would be the cost to get through MOT.
