Even Ford looks good when it comes to Jaguar of the 70s and 80s. Nice big motors but I'd not fancy a BL one.

They did do pipe and slippers, as BMW did on Rover. The new Jags have let them become a lot modern, as you say.

Tata own the name Rover, wonder will they bring out a sub-Jaguar car with that name?

Would be nice, I do think the new XJ is very SD1 like.

Needs a sleek Pananfarina look to it. They copied the Daytona, but if you copied a modern Ferrari or Maserati it just wouldn't work. At best it would look like a 407.

Must be a BMW sourced diesel, that's all they seem to reek when they accelerate.

Mitsubishi buy in TDis.

Remember Suzuki and Rover used to buy in XUDs?
Honda Concerto TD was an XUD.

Suzukis still use pug engines, mitsubishi are using tdi's in the lancer which as a result looks like a rally car but sounds like a tractor.

i was on ebay this morning still looking at the old white merc to check what price its at and then seen this:

My friends dad had a W123 diesel, back when it was spelt across the bootlid: T U R B O D I E S E L

Cracking car, the doors were like vaults, the seats were like those old springy leather seats they have in stately homes, the thing wafted about but had a nice diesel rumble.

Nah, here it'd be "prefect condition" no matter how many dents it has in it

It could be worse:

You can't get many bodies in a Bentley Mulsanne. Apparently. :supafrisk:

I'm glad my bootlid isn't badged for whats in it.

I'd usually be driving a Honda Accord Coupe CaseOfBeer.
