anyone know what the bit in this video is??? its off a 1.8 petrol apparently, posted on another forum so just trying to help him out

It's the bleed point for the heater matrix towards the rear of the engine.

Yes, and the cleverly designed cap likes to be dropped down the back of the engine to find a nice resting place under the steering rack or somewhere and being non-metallic can't even be picked up with a magnet :x

But all it uses is a normal tyre valve cap, so no biggie :wink:

Why do they have to make everthing out of plastic,

must of took some preasure for that to blow off :?

Bailes1992, thanks very much for the info and the diagram. Trem1 kindly posted my video here for me. Looking at the diagram, I dont recognize any of the parts..... except of course the broken bit that was in my hand in the vid and has a red circle around it in the diagram. Where exactly should I be looking to solve my problem? In behind the engine block, between the engine block and the passenger compartment? Or do I need to get under the car? If I can identify some of that diagram, I'll be able to work it out from there. Cheers.

Thats the part that plugs into the Heater matrix, (bulk-head ) iguess,

is this it ? :arrow:
