Hi all did a search but couldnt find it so I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to take the ariel off so I can replace it when i pop to the scrappers and also regarding the bulb for the back light in the dash, is that a standard interior light or special bulb i need to order?

Thanks guys im getting there slowly but surely, hope to have the radio code tomorrow although I'll be going halfords soon and just get a basic one which they fit too :-)

Hi .
Removing the Airiel, you have to pop the interior light out, Theyre a bit brittle so be careful there, ( remove the one off the breaker car first for practice. lol.)
once you remove the light look inside the housing you will see Torx screws remove them and the housing for the light shouid come off,

the Airel the base of it as a Tin sheild over it, pop that off and then you shouid have something like a 7 mm nut,
remove that and then the whole thing shouid be loose off the car,

"When replacing it it might be best to apply alittle clear Silicone to the airiel base -just a thin bead,"
(They can be prone for leaking,so best to seal it whilst replacing it, )

Bulbs, iirc they are these, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OSRAM-286TAC- ... 4608ed4d1d

Pretty standard bulbs, place's like Halfords will have them in,

Im getting there :-) got the dash all lit up now :-)

I checked for the rain leaking in an i can see its under the front passenger foot well under the carpet an foam an i couldn't get to it, I also think its in near that side wheel arch but again could get to it, I've cleaned the drains and opened up the seals there but nothing really came out so im half tempted to drill a small hole in each area or at least maybe get a mechanic too and check it out properly as there's only so much I can do with getting proper under it.
