Claiming with Royal Fail?

Post by Bailes1992 »

Royal Mail have kindly lost another parcel. This time belonging to me.

Unfortunately for me I have no idea what it could be. I just have a "Heyyy we missed you" card. The parcel was recorded delivery and they don't even reckognise the serial number on the card.

So now I have to put a claim in. But I don't have any idea what it could be?

What do I do now?

That's a bit odd, are you sure you're not expecting anything?

How can you put a claim in without knowing what's in the package?

Tell me about it!

I ordered a book from amazon which has yet to have been dispatched.
I had the control module for my car which was delivered saturday.
I also ordered brakes for my car friday night, but I got the "missed you" letter friday morning.

Really confused.

Normally the arrangement with the postman is he leaves any parcels in the coal bunker round the back of the house, but one day a subbie must have been working and a card come throught the letter box, but nothing had been ordered. I went to the post office and it was a 3/8 ratchet and 10 sockets, new and in the box,
It was definatley not ordered i had been at uni and hadnt bought anything off ebay or elsewhere in 2 months, there was no sender address or clues as to who sent it

You carnt claim,. :( if you dont know whats in the parcel or whoom its from,

( You’ll need to satisfy the “basic evidence” requirements outlined in the Royal Mail compensation policy, which include supplying the names and addresses of the sender, addressee and claimant; the Royal Mail product used; the postage paid and method of postage; the place and date of posting; and a description of contents. )

You need to find out Who the sender was and get them to contact royal mail,

Bloody hell Bailes, why weren't you in to receive the parcel? :frown:

I've bought you a full set of AP racing calipers and discs as a gift, I'll have to get a refund now

Just phoned them up after nobody got back to me. Couldn't find any options to speak to anyone and had to leave my details with a computer for them to send me a claim form.
