It is worth remembering that if you take the apple approach to hardware and apply it to BSD/Linux/Windows things will be better.

Apple only allows certain combinations of hardware, which they control, and if it is not supported you cannot use it. Apply that to any OS and you never have problems.
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

That's exactley why Mac's are so'good' for inexperienced computer users.

My laptop is 4 years old now, has Windows 7 on it. All I have installed is firefoz, avast anti virus, open office and my printer.

Thanks all,

iwent and had alook at the Mac computer,
when iasked them about it they said theyre unable to test or show it working (no monitor)
so ileft it were it was, it was in one of the cash generator, pawn type shops,

had alook on eghay for one but theyre silly money, and for something thats 2nd hand seems hardly worth it,

ended up buying another car off ebay whilst on the pc hunt ..imgoing to have to stay off there me thinks

im going to order a new motherboard kit and upgrade this one seems the best /cheapest option,
