HDi 90 with no cat

Post by FarmerPug »

I changed a crankshaft pulley in a neighbours car, but noticed the antipollution fault light came on, looked underneath and i think the cat has been removed

The owner said it had been removed by a mechanic to cure some running problem and it runs fine now bar the light.

If the cat has been removed on one of these how do you get rid of the antipollution fault, will pp2000 clear it, or does it need remapped,
its a 2001 hdi 90 with a bosch ecu.

Something else wrong with it. Mine was decatted with no issues. The HDi dosen't monitor the performance of the CAT.

A standard CAT on a HDi has nothing to do with Engine Warning Lights, it's the Particulate Filters on the 2.2's that cause sensor problems.
