Quite a few years ago i bought a Clarke air compressor to paint my fence I've used it once or twice but just recently I've drastically changed my garden which has involved a lot of painting and this little compressor that i thought my bro in law had broke has worked it's ass off and it got me thinking what else it could be used for?
It's electric with an output of 8 bar or 115psi... Good? bad? i have no idea and so far i can't find another one to show you all... the problem i can see with it are the connectors their a screw in type and not push in like the ones I'm seeing on the bay so far... in my mind this thing could paint a car no problem with some knowledge and the right amount of testicular fortitude
But I'm wondering if i could change the connectors could i use it to run things like staple guns, drills and the one I'd really like "an impact wrench"
Probably not powerful enough but worth a try?... i will get pics up or a link if i can find one.

It probably would run an impact wrench but I've found you need to keep the hoses short because they don't pass enough air, or use hefty ones like the garages. Horsepower? Cubic feet per minute? I think that's the important one for running stuff that uses a lot of air, like spray guns.

Not sure what means what (apart from the obvious ones) but here's what's on the sticker.
Type= Indy
V= 230
Ins= F Kw= 0.33
Hz= 50 A= 2
Ph= 1 Hp= 0.5
Air displacement: 100 litre/min
Maximum pressure: 8 bar (115psi)
Dunno if that means anything to you.
Some pics.
Connectors.
The last pic is what's left after the connector is removed now I'm thinking i can get a hose to screw straight onto that with a quick release standard fitting at the buisness end but i might be wrong?

You'd think there'd be a standard but I already found there's about 4 different ones
I might be wrong here (If I'm not then i feel a right twat) but the connector that's in pic 2 being what i think is a half inch fitting will screw onto the screw in type guns without replacing anything.

You can change the connections to quick release no issue but you'll find that it doesnt have enough power to do what you want in terms of impact wrench.
We have the £80 aldi special at work. Runs most things but run the impact gun constantly then the machine doesnt push enough air through to help out.
As such we are going for a big upgrade soon, getting an quieter industrial jobby, can at last have a conversation in the workshop!
cheers lads it was the ones in Aldi/ Lidl that got me thinking more about it... i saw the impact wrench/windy gun on offer in Lidl it was only 20 quid
i thought my hopes were a bit high anyway tbh.
