Miss Pug WILL be on display next Thursday

Post by Sonia406 »

I am extremely pleased to report that Miss Pug will be on show next Thursday in Witney, Oxfordshire!
Witney Motor show is generally for Retro cars or modified cars.
I am the Oxfordshire organizer for Peugeot Enthusiasts (Bet ya didn't know that) and I am arranging a meet there, next Thursday 4th July.
The show is on from 6pm until 9pm.

You're probably thinking, um - how is your battered 406 family estate either retro or modified?
It isn't, not in any way shape or form, apart from the cosmetics I have done to her (fitted a sunstrip today, tinting rear windows the weekend) BUT I know the organiser and I am going in with a friend who has a Citróen ZX so he's kind of said, OK if you come in with your Citróen I will make an allowance.

So, Miss Pug will be on show, I have arranged a PSA corner.
If anyone is in Oxfordshire with a retro pug or modified one - come along.

If your cars going to be shown entry is FREE.
If your car isn't going to be shown, entry is £2.50 per person, under 16's are free. (That's childrens age, not tyre size unfortunately)

Just ordered some show plates for her, making the engine bay spotless, as well as her body work. Her very first car show!

Can you just imagine peoples faces, all these wonderful modified or retro cars, and someones brought on a 406 estate?

She's my pride and joy and I will be there, stood next to her with a cheesy grin on my face!

If you're in the area - come along, witness her 3 hours of FAME, up with the big boys!! :D

Oh - and as for the sunstrip, will update her thread in a minute with a few recent pics :D

Well she did it.

She was there! :D

Not one person commented on this post - Am I that boring?

I did it all properly, I had information displayed in the windscreen about Miss pug - I was parked opposite some lush 205 GTi's (one member has a daily drive 406 coupe and is on here - Lovely to meet you by the way!)

Clean ready for the show~

All the information to be displayed~ (Yes, I know, missed some crucial information out here but I literally done it in the last half hour before the show.......)

Spot the lush 205's ~

After a very dull day full of drizzle, I am glad that when the show came the sun came out to play.........

For those of you on my PugBook, I am in the process of editing all photos taken yesterday (only took 118 pictures) and will be adding an album.

Mighty impressive shine there, Sonia. 8)

I'll be looking for a dingy corner under the trees to hide my scratched and dented beast at Pugfest.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Thanks Doggy, I had comments about the new steering wheel cover setting it all off - as well as the blue mats on the inside!
Dented and scratched? Trust me, close up Miss Pug has definitely a few blemishes - but to be honest.. you can't see them much... I guess when more financially stable I may be able to afford a re-spray......... :D
No hiding your 406 away... it has to come out to play with everyone elses :P

Thanks guys :D

I'm going to get there before any of you and cordon off that area so you have no choice but to come and play with the other Pugs :D

What did I use? The car washes finest wash @ £7.99? I did the inside, made it spotless but they had a severe case of CBA........

Surely though - they must sell tickets ON the gate?
If we are left behind at the gate at least we can entertain each other........
Mines black cotton with no lion :(

[Where did you get yours?]

Mine is literally just ''I <3 my 406'' black t-shirt.

Having a few difficulties myself with getting there but one way or another I WILL be there, not sure if Miss Pug can make it though.
