I didn't realise how little of the strut was showing, looks like that is low as you'll get it.
Maybe remove the castors and stick on some felt instead so chair will still slide back, or better still - those flat castors used for moving heavy furniture like the removal men use..

At the moment with the extreme lowered setup (chopped to the max ) i can sit comfortably i was getting a bit worried because it cant go much lower.
Taking the wheels off would have done the same thing but the strut sticks out a good bit in the middle so the felt pads would need to be quite thick to prevent the whole thing balancing in the middle like a giant spinning top.
