Actually, all Jag dashes are pretty revolting. The panel of buttons to the rear right of the steering while I always find bizarre. Good clocks though.

Dozens of tiny buttons seems to have been the fashion at the time -- look at the dash on a contemporary 5-series or E-class. Mind I can hardly say anything as I'm coveting 407s (Peugeot a couple of years behind in copying what the luxury marques are doing).

I suppose the infra-red remote control for the 406 sat-nav is pretty surreal though. Maybe they should have used more buttons?
