Post by lozz »

Hi all

Draft question does anyone know of any shops /sources
That sell plasti-dip.

I can get some off line but its a gamble with the new royal mail posting rules.. :(

I've looked in b and q and halfrauds but they don't sell it

Any ideas. T.I.a.

They rust worse than pug springs.. :(

Never heard of it before but it looks interesting. If they can use to to repair dishwasher trays it must be pretty durable.

I had a google for retailers but all I got was other people on other forums answering the same question :(

Oh, apart from when I forgot to set it to give results in the UK, looks like you can pick the stuff up almost anywhere in the States :frown:

Hi Lozz, can't you use a generic zinc paint?
If you have taken the springs off, maybe get them powder coated or anodised or such like..

Hi,
The springs have already been powder coated,
And shot peened first,
But just want to coat them in something..just so they keep tidy.

Plasti-dip wouid of been perfect for this I think I dunno.

Edit .. found some at. http://www.matt-pack.co.uk/shop/index.p ... ry&path=59

But it looks like I will be ordering a lot more than i need,

If anyone wants anything coating in this stuff let me know.

Update.
I got hold of some plasti-dip.
It ain't like I thought it wouid be. Certainly no good for springs it wouid just chip off
Just like what the coating wouid do on springs to start with.

I've just used several coatings of hammerite smooth.

That's a shame 'cos it looked ideal from the blurb on their website :frown: At least you found a use for it.
