Hi All!
My Owners club Probe 24v went bang in a very expensive way just before xmas, so I did the prudent thing and bought another 406, but instead of the last one which was an R plate 1.8 petrol (bought locally for £400!) I bought an 02 plate 406 HDI.
I realise going from a 2.5 V6 Probe to a 90 BHP 406 is going to be an experience, but how on earth can I make the thing go just a bit quicker?
I thought it was going to be faster than it actually is, so I suppose it's my fault. I can't fault the car though - lovely, comfy and amazing MPG from it - I got nearly 700 miles from a full tank the other week!
So...in a nutshell....
Happy to be here
Hints and tips well received
A cost effective way to make my car quicker please.....(If you can help with that)
Finally , thanks for having me! (metaphorically speaking!)
Hoots

Cheers Dai!
I really miss my old Probe - it was low mileage and an real nice black one - no mods, apart from the chip which gave it 187 bhp - almost as quick as a type R civic!
90 BHP in a heavy car...well, I love the savings and the car, but speed.....please anyone with more speed, I'll buy it off you!!!!!
Cheers again Dai!

Cheers Trem!
I'm in Cramlington, just moved from Quayside....loved the petrol 1.8 I had before, and on an R plate for £400 it was a bargain.
This is £2999 on an 02 plate but slow as a bus.
