

So, whipped the ECU out, and sent it off to someone I know to rebuild it. The galetto had failed, and wiped the flash on the ECU, as well as corrupting the entire map and immobiliser data. £110 to put right, and 6 days of worrying if it had damaged the BSI too. Luckily, I put the newly fixed ECU in and the car started - biggest relief ever with no damage to the BSI.
So, those with galetto's, be very careful. This was a very expensive lesson for me and despite a friend of mine who does remapping for a living telling me not to use them, I still did. Its now in the bin!
