You know if you go on google images and want to copy an image onto here then I just copy the URL of the image from the 'Properties' and wrap it in IMG tags on here.
But now there is some text (''tbn'' or something) in the URL that stops the image appearing.
I'm no computer whiz, and I maybe shouldn't even copy stuff across like that because of copyright - I don't know, but what is happening here? and better still - have a go yourself ?
Is it me or has Google images changed something

Not so much copyright, more the fact that every time someone views the image, the person whose website it belongs to foots the bandwidth bill...
I take it you mean URLs like this:
http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:reY ... panner.jpg
Producing output like this:
[img]http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:reY ... panner.jpg[/img]
instead of the image? My guess is it's down to a bug in phpBB (ie. this forum's software) not accepting it as a valid URL most likely because of the colons. I would have suggested trying to put the image in as html instead, but that seems completely broken (at least using preview)...
So just strip off everything before the second http:// for example reducing the url I've stuck here to simply
http://www.pixelhaus.co.uk/images/spanner.jpg

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
