I have had my 2nd 406 9 yrs now and apart from a strut brace it is standard , and apart from the sills which are starting to need sorting it going better than ever at 175k 2001 110 hdi , goes like as it has 130+ bhp, nice torque from 1500 rpm
My Question is how much difference in insurance would it make in your experience if I lowered it 30mm which I have always fancied doing ?
I have been looking for a possible replacement but not not into all this expensive to repair multi sensor modern crap !!
insurance increase ??

Re: insurance increase ??
Mine is lowered by 40mm , I've never bothered to tell the insurance
If you do it sensibly your be fine, just don't go mad.
The 406 sits that high as stock your get away with 30mm without it looking lowered
If you prefer to tell the insurance, then surely ask them?
There are plenty of specialist brokers that deal with mod's, you might even find your insurance goes down?
Got to be worth the question.
