Okay not 406 related but at least it's got a nice old 'tina in it. Just finished watching end of season 2 of Life On Mars- i know it finished yonks ago but i've been busy :P and the biggest laughs for me came from DCI Gene Hunts one liners, like these gems :-

"Anything happens to this motor, I come over your houses and stamp on all your toys. Got it? Good kids" .

and

"We've got to do something." "Ok. Lets bring him in so I can do the fandango on his head"

and

Sam Tyler: "If it was to do with football, he'd have serious injuries".
Gene: "He's dead. That's quite serious"

I just love the way he says "BAStud".....:cheesy: As in "You are surrounded by armed BAStuds..."

In the Post Office when Annie walks up to Gene, "Sarge, I've not been trained in firearms" and something about her not being comfortable with a gun...Gene," Marvoulous, give a guy a gun and cream creams himself with excitement, give a bird one and she moans she doesn't have a dress to go with it"

Gene to Ray: I'm promoting you back to DS. Make sure it stands for Detective Sergeant and not Dog $h!t !!

RAY: The Law, The Law
GENE (to Chris) : Get down you div
PAUSE
SAM: We are the law you bloody clowns

'Fingers in more pies than a leper on a cookery course'

Sam: "I think it was a hate crime"
Gene: "What, as opposed to one of those I really really like you kinda murders?!"


There were plenty of others, but I'm suffering brain fade at the moment.

I never watched the first series, but was addicted to the 2nd series. Anyone know how I can get to see series 1 without having to pay for it? :roll: :lol:

I've got that quote as a ring tone on me phone, and the Gene Genie shouting "shut it!" as the text tone.

I'm looking forward to Ashes to Ashes. Apparently, Gene transfers to the Met so he can have a crack at the "southern pansy" villains...
