It's easier to look at the outside mate, D8 is the earlier one with the slatted grille, D9 is the facelifted model with prettier headlights and a mesh grille(like mine :arrowd: ).

Interior the radio / heating controls are totally different, and I think the seats are different too. If in doubt have a browse around the garage...

lol

We I've not got any photos yet.
But I can remember I couldn't seem to get any Fuel or trip computer on mine, it has the radio station selection menu displayed and the low fuel warning text, oh and it showed a door open.
This was all I could get on the upper smaller display.

It's got air-con and an auto button just above the heating display (large lower display.)

Exterior all I remember is that it's got a strip across the rear lights in the middle.

I read on Parkers that the D9s came in Jan 99 so I'm now thinking that mine is a D9 being a 99 T-reg.
:?

But there still didn't seem to be a fuel computer (shame I really wanted one) unless I was being stupid and couldn't operate it.

The owners manual had loads about Sat-Nav in it (I wish)

A bit clueless here, it doesn't help that I know about Peugeot's love of raiding the parts bin during crossover years :P

OK.

Looking at the evidence here in the garage I'm guessing my 99 T-reg is a D9.
As it doesn't have the analogue heater controls but has the display screen with the up and down buttons either side for the temp and heat direction.

It also has the black separate grill rather than the body coloured strips.

So D9 I guess.

Last question is (at last :raz: )

Do all D9s have the trip/ fuel computer on the upper digital display?
If so how does one make it work, all I could get was radio stations to select from.

:?

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

Saxo Sports Club.
Huge forum with lots of old timers that have moved on to bigger cars on there as well as new Saxo owners.
It's really just a big social forum :)

I was a member In the SSC back in 2002/03. I had a 98R Mercury Grey VTS but i had no end of trouble with it when i changed jobs. It didnt like 800 miles a week. In the last year of ownership it had stuff like wheel bearings go, head gasket blew, fuel pump die, alternator belt x2, crank case seal fail, rear trailing arms wear out. I could go on but you get the idea. Not the most reliable car but it was a lot of fun 8)

For the money a VTS is about as much fun as you could have with your pants on ;)
I had a VTR and VTS and they were both faultless but then I was lucky!
