I'm back!

Post by Welly »

Well I'm back after 1 week in sunny Spain 8)

The Vauxhall Arsetra I hired turned into a Fiat Bravo :?

One of these 2007 models:
Image

I tell you, what an excellent car it was  It was the 120BHP 1.9 common rail MultiJet and it was fantastic over the 450 miles use, requiring only 10 gallons to fill it back up 8)

It did suffer a little turbolag if you caught it off-boost up a hill but once you hit 1700 rpm it loved to rev and pull right to 4500 rpm. You could even here the dump valve  It would easily out pace my 406 all over the place.

At night, on those twisty mountain roads, at low speed the left or right front fog would come on to illuminate the direction you have turned the wheel 8) there was loads of other cool stuff like Dual Zone Climate etc but I won't bore you :|

In fact now I'm back home the Fiat has made me realise just how shyte and old fashioned my car is  It's only when you drive a car with a new generation chassis you realise how much things have moved on in a cars ride and handling. Oh well.

I was thinking of all this whilst sat on the Beach one day. Mrs Welton had been sent off to the Pay & Display machine to buy some more hours when this little beauty appeared right in front of me. Well I grabbed the camera phone to share with you guys an impression of a typical day on my week in Spain whilst it pissed it down over here :P

Ooooh ello'........

Cheers fellas.

Geordie, I was staying at Benissa towards Valencia but visited Benidorm 3 times last week as it was only 25 minutes down the A7 toll road. Also visited Javia, Altea, Calpi and Moraira 8)

Benidorm's a great place really although it starts to get full of piss heads later at night so that's when we made a sharp exit :|

Did you go to Aqualandia ? 8)
