Why this forum is awesome!

Post by STALLED »

Thanks heaps Blue 406! Much appreciated mate! Totally didn't have to do it...I'm really grateful for it!

Seriously, I went through hell trying to get one of these badges here...called every Peugeot wrecker in 3 states and rural NSW and they didn't have one due to them being either sun damaged, wrecked due to someone running up the back of one or the wrecker selling it to someone with the bootlid...

I'm going to stick it on during the week - it's a matter of pulling out the Haynes manual and working out how to get it on... :cheesy:

Its quite easy to remove and install these badges. No need to disturb the lock mechanism either.

If you look inside the boot lid at the whole mechanism, you'll see a large black block secured to the outer wall of the lid.
You will also see 3 Torx screws (Size T20 is memory serves). One at each corner at the top and one at the very botton of the mechanism.
Unscrew these and the exterior badge will lift off, might take a bit of pressure, but should simply lift off. Put new(er) badge on, replace screws and tighten. Don't over tighten as its just plastic your screwing into. (oo-er!)

Done.

You're very welcome btw :)
It was the very last Scrapyard left for me to visit where I found this and the badge I used to replace mine with.

<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
