how much for a service?

Post by Matt »

Hi

Roughly how much would it cost to have a full service with the cambelt, aux belt changed at the same time. (on a 406 exec HDI 110)

I've just bought the car, but I cant tell when it was last done, its done 95k so i want to play it safe and get it all done now.

Cheers
Matt.

The cambelt should be changed at 96000 miles!

I reckon a good independant garage (find one you know well or get one recommended) would charge around £250.00? see what some others say.

i phoned a few places today and have it booked in next week to a local garage that i've used for a few years now, they've quoted £270 for both belts and all the pulleys, plus they've done loads of them before so it should be safe with them
