Argghgh Just ran out of fuel (dont ask) and the engine light came on, will this eventually turn its self off or will i need to get a garage to do it?

it should go out fairly quickly last time i ran outta juice it went out as soon as i got the thing running again

oh balls, it didnt go off for the 2 mile trip home (including half a mile flat out stretch)

It should self cancel as it's only a kind of soft warning (low rail pressure) which happens when there's air bubbles in the line.
A few on here have had this and it usually sorts itself out.

good news boys and girls
did 414 miles straight on wednesday morning, light on all the way, pulled in the car park looked down at the glowing orange light and it went out!
Done around 700 since and its still out
