The wanderer returns, (again).

Post by Doggy »

Just got back from an overnight trip to Austria, it's HOT there, 34 deg. at Vienna this afternoon!

Nothing like 2 hours each way, up & down mountains, in a 1.4 Meriva to really make you appreciate your pug.
This thing would not endanger a rice pudding skin, even without 3 of us plus luggage....

Completely uneventful trip to & from Heathrow too.
And my return flight was 20 mins early.
Got home in under 1.5 hours.

Guess that's my luck all used up.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

The 2000 W 406 Estate HDi 90 is our first Pug.

When the misses wanted one I was bit a like... Erm its French

But, since been out in the test drive and running around in it around town, its bloody comfy, very spacious and no rattles and has worn well for 140k and 9 years.

It puts my 850 T5 Estate to shame in the rattles/build department only part is the out right performance compared to the T5 but to say its "only" 90hp and 205nm torque its pretty nippy even coming from driving my T5 and the misses old ST24 2.5 V6 Mondeo!

To say im impressed is an understatment. Im even considering one myself to save some pennies on fuel and insurance!

Back on topic, sounds like you had a nice trip apart from the car lol
