It's always sad to see this happening to something you've invested so much time and love in. :(

On the plus side, there are lots of 406s going around at great prices. You could potentially sell your current one privately to someone who has the means to keep it running, and buy a more reliable one from someone who's "upgraded" to a BMW or Audi
2002 (D9) Peugeot 406 Coupe SE, 2.2 litre Petrol. Scarlet Red/Rouge Ecarlate/Rosso Scarlatto. Black Leather interior. SOLD :(
2008 (E60 LCI) BMW 525i M-Sport, 3.0 litre Petrol. Carbonschwarz Metallic. Black Dakota Leather and Myrtlewood interior.

its a big shame its best to cut your losses and get a more reliable one before you plough too much money into it i have a 306 rallye aswell as the 406 and ive put so much money into it and its a heap of crap but ive put too much money in it now to even consider getting rid of it being stuck between a rock and a hard place :frown:

good thing with 406's is if you go out and get a really tight one itll last for a very long time (providing you swap the electronic equipment to run on coal)

i would love to get another one but i just dont think i can afford o decent one at the moment . ive seen a stunning estate exec but its just out of my price range :( I have not had many electrical faults with mine its all been mechanical which i find strange cause i thought deffo the electrics would fail as tjhat is a problem area on the 406.
