Lordy, when it was new I'd already owned hatchbacks with more power (Integrale Evo) and 12 years on hatchbacks with half as much power again are not uncommon. Never driven a car yet that felt truly hyperspatial, and that included a full house 600 BHP R34. Once you've owned a 9.21 second Veyron crushing bike, a rather heavy family saloon with a mere 200 brake is a bit of a non event.
I guess it's down to what you've had before and how your brain was thus calibrated.
