It's definitely blue in the pictures, but on closer inspection it's the camera mucking up the shot - the roof rails are also blue when they should always be black!

I have local knowledge of the area and I'm wondering how they are going to recover the car from the canal?

I was unlucky enough to live in Winchburgh for 18 months and these guys must be held in genius status by the rest of the locals.

I wonder if the car even belonged to them?

I was wondering, I can see that you'd fairly easily be able to plop down onto the Ice from the toe path but Canals aren't usually dead level with the toe path so how would they have got out anyhow? :?

Recovery will be very interesting indeed! and very expensive - perhaps a huge crane to enable the reach?

They'd have to rob/mug/burgle a lot of people to pay that!

But we're the owner's club, so it's in our nature to be sad when it comes to a 406  It wouldn't be the same if it was a BMW or something (well, not to the majority of us anyway :P )

well if its a W reg surely its a D9? also if you read the Sun they have said its a peugeot 307 lol! and i have just bought a D9 estate 7 seater yesterday (pics up soon) and the ariel is at the front and judging by the sun's photos it has a shorter ariel so i think its a D9 we will just have to wait until they fish it out!

It is a D9, it occurred to me the aerial is still on the front on early ones, hence working out the numberplate and search for it on DVLA.

Come to think of it, I've ever seen a black D8...

I wonder if they escaped through the back door - that would make it a 7 seater :cheesy:
