D8 406 OBDII or EOBD??

Does anyone know if my 406 has OBDII or EOBD as I fancy getting a scangauge :)

The D8 barely has a fusebox let alone an ECU !
2.1td exec estate.

I gather the 1.9 is more mechanical injection with a little bit of electronics , so any info you get is likely to be a tad basic.

Only thing that'll speak to your ECU will be a Lexia interface with PP2000. Not cheap!

Certainly not cheap!!!!

I think you have the older version of the OBD. Is that called the EOBD?? The D9's have OBD-II anyway. It depends what you want to do with the port? If its clearing engine codes the then you can still do that with a basic enough scanner.

No. On non-HDi D8s it's a PSA-specific variant of KWP which only Lexia+PP2000 speaks, and even then there's no guarantee that it'll speak to much more than the engine ECU
The D9's have OBD-II anyway.
Some HDi ECUs have very loose OBD2 support

Only if the scanner will talk to the car. On a TD this is very much not the case.
