I got the gagues, after a 2 week wait when the item location was set in london (1 star for delevery time in the feedback). Anyhow here they are:

the oil pressure gague seems to work, the ammeter insturctions confuses me, they are wrote for america with diagrams for the big 3 (ford, gm, chrysler) but nothing else i think the + goes to the starter + but where does the - go on an ammeter? also it specifies 10 AWG minimum thickness wire, i went to the hardware shop to get some the man has never heard of AWG.

FP 10 AWG is about 5.26mm2 so 6mm2 cable is the most common size we use over here, get some tri-rated stuff as its better with the heat and more flexible anyway.

As for the ammeter wiring wait a while somebody will be along with some decent advice.

You don't want the starter motor going through the ammeter (or it'll catch fire  )

Mains is generally 2.5mm (higher voltage means less current)

now the fuel pump packed up pissing oil out all over the place and doing 4mpg, so i took it out and decided to replace it with an electic pump. That was £20, but then ive also had to add 2 inline filters, millions of jubilee clips and 3 metres of new fuel line:
Image
i put that on and tested it, then a leak from the tank occured, i took the tank out and found that the pipe that drew out the petrol was cracked and the pressure of the new pump showed this off, so i changed this also and that was smaller than the 3m of new pipe i had, so i got more new fuel line.
And its not going just yet, i cant run it until i get a blanking plate over the fuel pump hole, but there isnt fuel getting to the carb, do you need to bleed a carb?

No you dont need to bleed a carb mate,
Blanking plate ?

Make your own get some Tin snips, and a peice of tin peice of old car door. washing machine.. Baking tray perhaps,
use old fuel pump as template, just a case of Drilling holes in the tin,

Not Enough fuel getting to carb?
have you got the Inline Filters the right way round?
if not it will Reduce the fuel flow, look at the Arows on the Filters make sure there the right way,
put a cap or 2 of petrol down the Neck of the carb and it shouid fire up and pull fuel through on its own,

the filters are on ok, i pulled the pipe off and the fuel shot out like a hose.
Im blanking off the fuel pump, its £6 for the laser cut plate i just want to do it right had enough with the oil leak.
I think theres something wrong with the plumbing to the carb ive blocked off a return pipe which might be wrong.
