The brakes always left much to be desired because the rhd conversion didn't seem to work quite right, (it's rather like the rhd 406's so it surprises me no-one complains about the conversion on yours). I remember seeing a mark 1 in the breakers with not one but two Girling Powerstops on it. Worst of all, the 16valves only came in lhd (I saw one on the road here a couple of years back) presumably, like the brakes, there wasn't enough room under the bonnet, unlike the Glof.
what is /was a girling powerstops?

There's one of
these in a garage that I drive past every day. I think I may pop in and see what they're doing with it.

Probably fitting a Ford V4 in it so it goes more than 100 yards without needing the oil topped up...

I'm sure I've seen a few Pugs that colour, perfect if you live where there's lots of mud (like here, frinstance
)
If you think that's bad, there's a 407 round here that somebody decided would look nice in

I have seen such a colour before but very very rare. They came with a light interior too I think.
I'm sticking my neck out and saying 'Roman Bronze' even though google images let me down in this respect......

The colour is called "Pallamino Bronze" - I looked at a 406 in that colour, but it was rooted! Oh and they have that bloody awful cream interior as well....
