My first bump was with some dozy girl in a brand new (under 6 months old) Mini who joined a roundabout as I was indicating off it, then tried to drive through the rear of my 406 estate because she wasn't looking at my indicators, or which direction I was driving in.

I saw her, and floored it to get out her way, so it was just a little paint exchanged and a bit of denting on both cars, but she was in tears (probably her first car) and really didn't want to go through insurance so I just took the contents of her purse (£100 or so) as it was her bloody fault. I really didn't care about my car's bodywork anyway

Then there's the towbar on that estate.... Put holes in the bumpers of a transit and a merc with that thing  Both on the move, both were seriously tailgating me (under 2 foot at 60mph), both didn't realise I'd changed into the wrong gear by mistake, and neither had time to react  Good times  although seeing steam would have made it better. Ah well... Shame neither wanted to stop and exchange insurance details
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
