it is the americns who made the demonstration, they have a perfect world where lines like that just dissappear, im not too bothered about buffing out lines, i just want to know what to cover this with, phosporic acid to remove it, then a bit of galvanizing etch primer, then a good liberal use of some paint.
Im definatley getting a set of brand new door skin seals, never thought they were as important.

these are examples where cutting it out wouldnt be practical. Funnilly this suzukis chasis is like new, because it was waxoiled, but the vitara was ate right through on both the chasis and the body.

no real plans for getting it back on the road, its even got a roll cage for the off roading:

its been done properly its no decoration:

there is some things that would need sorted before it goes back on the road other than the lack of any mechanical components under the bonnet such as the door handle:
Image
Image
broken mirrors:
Image
Image
and the empty hole that used to be the cabin air intake:
Image
and the indicator lights on the front bumper have both been smashed during off roading, but yeah id love to be able to take this thing on the road, it might not be comfortable but it basicness it the main part of its appeal.

Ive seen worse rust than that -its not that bad,
ive restored a Few old cars in the past Eg Moggie thous, im going to start my Merc project shortly and the front wings etc on that are 90% worse than your zuki jeep,

if you wanted too make something tidy out of that iwouid recomend taking it down to a Rolling shell and fill any holes from the otherside of the panels,
*if you carnt use a welder to weld plates to the iner skins of the pannels there is other alternatives stuff like Jb weld or miracle weld, its around £5 a tube but its good stuff and dosent fall out like filler,

actually i quite like the sammys roughness, its part of its character to have the odd wee rust spot here and there, here is its lavishly equipped interior:

and the floors dont get soggy:

and another bodged repair:

i like it, with the pug im ultra fussy about keeping everything standard and well done, with this i can get a stick and screw it into the dash to fix the glovebox.

on the topic of rust whats these pink droplets on my new engine?

the jeep was used in a costal area, it did come into contact with the sea, that corrosion looks bad, but really it just scrapes off the block very nicely, but im confused by the pink.

Saw pink on an old Golf engine before, was indeed antifreeze.

Remember there was a Wheeler Dealers where they did up a Suzuki Vitara. Ended up too rusty to be MOTd, so they sold it as is for off-roading.

i never seen that, i thought id watched them all but worth a watch.
The old vitaras were a rustbucket, the sammy got off light ive just got a few spots here and there up above on the body, the chasis is mint, ive hit it with a hammer and all and there is no rust. But with off roading you need a bit of rust.
