we do that tangent wandering a lot, floppy disks may hold too much information on them, if you stored everything on a floppy disk and lost it well it would be a very big data loss with 1.44mb of storage.

smoke signal, it could work very well with computers, after all they all operate on binary so its just a case of smoke for 1 and no smoke for 0, imagine trying to open a word document in smoke signal binary 0000011010100100101001001001001001001001010010101001010010010010, and you have barely scratched the surface.

I've never used Outlook Express but I'd have thought if you can still get to it on your old machine you should be able to archive them & import them to your new machine.

If it's anything like Outlook all the emails and contacts are in one file X:\Documents and Settings\NapoleonXIV\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst which you can just copy into the same place on your new hard drive.

or use it for something like a pp2000. Outlook, and outlook express i cant really tell much difference other than an easier control layout of outlook. Outlook express is to outlook as tesco express is to tesco ie not just as good.
